2 Weeks and counting… #EBEXPO

EBLOGO2015Just under two weeks before the doors are flung open at Sydney’s Olympic Centre for EB Games and their now annual extravaganza. We might not have an event of E3 calibre, but its a great way to give the industry a pre-xmas hype right on the cusp of Silly Season, also known as the October to November release window.

With hands-on demos galore and the chance to spend time with the occasional developer the show is well worth a visit for anybody remotely interested in seeing what’s around the corner.

ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO UNTIL EB EXPO 2015!

Excitement is mounting fast with Australia’s world-class video games event EB Expo set to open in just two weeks’ time. EB Expo 2015 will be held October 2 to 4 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Tickets are available at EB Games stores, at OzTix or online at www.ebexpo.com.au.

The strong line-up will feature a host of new playable titles across various genres. EB Games is excited to reveal even more newly announced games and experiences including WWE 2K16, Tom Clancy’s The Division and the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft booth in the Community Playground.

At the Hearthstone booth, gamers will be shown how to play this easy-to-learn massively fun game. They can then play against their friends or take on some of the best Hearthstone players in Sydney for a chance to win epic Hearthstone merchandise. Cosplayers from Blizzard’s team brawler Heroes of the Storm will also be on hand for fan photos.

Also showcased will be the kids’ gaming phenomenon Yo-Kai Watch. Nintendo fans and families will be able to play the game before release and watch the exclusive first episode of the wildly popular anime series. Yo-Kai Watch is a cultural phenomenon in Japan and has achieved astronomical commercial success.

Other hugely-anticipated titles available to play before release include Star WarsTM BattlefrontTM, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, Halo 5: Guardians, Dark Souls 3, Battleborn, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Just Cause 3, Streetfighter V, Need for SpeedTM, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Rainbow Six Siege, Guitar Hero Live, Star Fox Zero, The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations and Dragon Quest Heroes.

Those who obtain an Express Gamer Pass will also have access to the Express Queues, where they can fast-track to the EB Arena, Exhibition Hall and select exhibitor booths for games such as Star WarsTM BattlefrontTM, Tom Clancy’s The Division and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Experiences include Bethesda showcasing Fallout 4, Mirror’s Edge CatalystTM and newly announced Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

The EB Expo Family Day on Sunday offers a huge range of family-friendly entertainment and games, including Just Dance 2016, and newly-released Disney Infinity 3.0, LEGO Dimensions and Skylanders SuperChargers. Free ‘Frightful Fiesta’ Halloween Skylander figures will be given to the first fans to play Skylanders SuperChargers at the booth*.
The massive weekend also features fireworks, The Sydney Brick show, The Zing Pop Culture Zone showcasing thousands of specialty and hard-to-find products from pop culture brands, and the Community Playground.
