Rambo breaks cover!

The publishers have released a special Rambo-esque montage to get your juices flowing and I have to admit the big kid in me just loves that theme tune.

There are movie icons and there are movie legends, in my opinion Sylvester Stallone is one of Hollywood’s often most underrated talents. One of his greatest inventions was his take on the surly character of John Rambo, with a movie franchise that has spanned most of my life Rambo films are high on the list of classic action hokum.

Now it is time for a Rambo game fit for this generation, the first screens have been released showing some spectacular environments although regardless of how pretty they are the game is going to need to be special to eclipse the 8-bit Commodore 64 version of First Blood part 2. Press release and screens after the break.

Carrier Command

When I was a boy I played games on my Amiga, one of them was Carrier Command combining strategy, action, simulation and above all imagination. Many games of that era stay in our minds, but Carrier Command is something that held a special place and to see it getting this kind of revision really is exciting. Roll on September 27th!

Website info and Press Release after the break, and do pay a visit to the official Youtube channel for some great tasters.

Guardians of Middle-Earth announced for xbox / PS3

Press release and website after the break.

It’s Minecraft week (finally)

From Monday there will be officially 2 more sleeps until Minecraft officially lands on the xbox360 and wraps up the Arcade Next promotion. While it may not be shipping day 01 with the promised Kinect functions, I’m sure that is an aspect that will pale into comparison once I start understanding the crafting hierarchy. Minecraft is something I have admired from afar and resisted on mac/pc for fear of a time consuming void, I think I am in better control of my xbox time…. we’ll see, but in the meantime here is some more official info after the break.
