Gears of War 3 – second DLC announced

The second batch of DLC for the latest Gears of War has been announced (here on Major Nelson) and to be honest, it’s making that ‘Season Pass’ sound more attractive by the day. Weighing in at 2400 MS Points, the Season Pass seemed at first a tad expensive, but seeing some people express interest  in the DLC range that has been promised coupled with the fact that I have been glued to the Team Deathmatch mode and that this batch of DLC offers new pre-Gears1 campaign. Makes this announcement quite a prospect, and that’s in the face of an impending deluge of Battlefield and Modern Warfare…Details as posted by Microsoft’s Major Nelson:

Gears of War 3: RAAM’s Shadow Game add-on coming Dec. 13th

New Gears of War 3 Game add-on announced today. Here are the highlights from the press release:

Gears of War 3Today, Microsoft and Epic Games announced “RAAM’s Shadow,” the new campaign experience for the award-winning blockbuster, “Gears of War 3.” Starring a cast of characters both new and eerily familiar to the series, “RAAM’s Shadow” will deliver more than three hours of gameplay set in a storyline that precedes the events of the first “Gears of War,” as well as six new multiplayer characters, the Chocolate Weapon Set and an additional 250 Gamerscore. “RAAM’s Shadow” will launch Dec. 13 for 1,200 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, marking the second major game add-on for this year’s critically-acclaimed blockbuster, “Gears of War 3.”
